Job summary

Baywood Court is a Castro Valley, CA senior living community seeking a Weekend Medication Technician/Caregiver to support residents with compassionate care in a 24/7 setting. The role focuses on caregiving duties, medication management, and adherence to Title 22 RCFE regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to write and document in the ADL forms.
• Current First Aid Certification - must have prior to on-floor training.

Responsibilities

• Receive medications from family, pharmacy or resident.
• Ensure that each medication has a signed physician’s order.
• Transcribe each physician’s medication order onto MAR (Medication Administration Record) correctly.
• Ensure that all PRN orders are written by physician according to Title 22 RCFE Regulations.
• Ensure that all pharmacy labels are written in accordance with Title 22 RCFE Regulations.
• Medications are poured/passed, recorded, reordered, centrally stored, discontinued and/or destroyed in accordance with Title 22 RCFE Regulations.
• Caregiver duties: light housekeeping, dressing/bathing/assisting with restroom, taking from dining room to apartment.
• Majority of hours worked will be as a Caregiver.
