Job summary

MedSpeed is seeking a part-time Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver in Silver Spring. The role pays $18.40/hr with weekend shifts (Sat/Sun, 4:00pm–12:00am) and involves long-distance driving in the DMV area.

You will drive a company vehicle, transport lab specimens and supplies, and perform routine vehicle checks. We offer training, advancement opportunities, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), on-demand pay, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Must be 19+ years old with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with technology and devices.
• Ability to follow procedures carefully.
• Ability to plan efficient routing between multiple points.
• Able to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screens.
• Able to drive a non-commercial vehicle in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent driving history.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination depending on location.
• Able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Spend most of the day in a company-owned vehicle, safely driving and delivering items.
• Operate a hand-held scanning device to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload materials with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean.
• Route duties vary by client and may change over time.
• Show teamwork and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Build and nurture a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
