Job summary

MedSpeed is hiring a Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver for weekends in Silver Spring. The role runs Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00am to 2:30pm, with a +$1/hr weekend differential.

You will drive a company vehicle to transport medical supplies and samples across the DMV area, using a handheld scanner and maintaining a professional client-facing presence. Requirements include a 19+ age, 3+ years of driving with a valid license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and compliance with

Qualifications

• Must be 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for 3 years.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with using technology and devices.
• Ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to plan efficient routes between multiple points.
• Must pass initial and random drug & alcohol screen.
• Excellent driving history and safe driving behavior.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be required by location.

Responsibilities

• Drive a company-owned vehicle to transport lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals and related materials.
• Use a hand-held scanner to track items through the transportation cycle.
• Follow all policies, procedures and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public.
• Load and unload items safely.
• Demonstrate safe driving behavior and perform pre/post-trip inspections.
• Assist with route assignments as needed across different routes.
• Collaborate with teammates and clients to ensure smooth operations.
