Job summary

UnityPoint Health – Meriter is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a patient care team within an ambulatory clinic. The MA performs technical and clerical tasks, supports phlebotomy when needed, and focuses on safe, high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires completion of an accredited MA program (or LPN/EMT pathways), CPR, and strong communication and organizational skills. You will contribute to team operations and patient experience across ages, with opportunities

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program and certification or eligibility OR completion of an LPN program OR EMT certified.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to work across a variety of patient ages and conditions.
• Strong organizational and service-excellence skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical, patient-related and clerical duties in an ambulatory setting.
• Support phlebotomy as needed.
• Collaborate with nurses, assistants, PAs, NPs, and physicians to ensure safe, quality care.
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and shifting needs.
