Job summary

UnityPoint Health - Meriter in Wisconsin is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the clinic care team. The MA will perform technical and clerical tasks in ambulatory settings, support operations, and focus on safe, quality care while addressing patients' psychosocial needs.

The role may fill in for phlebotomy as needed. Qualified candidates have an accredited Medical Assistant program, CPR certification, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program (1-year) or equivalent (LPN/EMT).
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Ability to work with a variety of patient ages and conditions.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, changing environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a member of the clinic care team alongside RNs, assistants, techs, clerical staff, PAs, NPs and physicians.
• Performs technical and clerical patient-facing tasks in ambulatory settings and supports clinic operations.
