Job summary

UnityPoint Health – Meriter is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our ambulatory care team. The MA will perform technical and clerical tasks, support clinic operations, and focus on safe, quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

The role may include phlebotomy as needed and requires weekend coverage. Qualified candidates will have an accredited MA program, CPR certification, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program (1-year vocational program) and is certified or eligible for certification or registration as a Medical Assistant
• Current CPR certification
• Enjoys working with a variety of patient ages and conditions
• Excellent organizational, internal, and external service excellence skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
