Job summary

GE Aerospace Terre Haute is seeking to fill a material handler role supporting two facilities focused on combustors & structures for aircraft engines. The position emphasizes material flow, safety, and cross-functional teamwork in a high-demand environment.

Responsibilities include keeping stations stocked, leading problem solving, tracking shortages, and operating a forklift. Weekend shifts apply, with strict adherence to EHS policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Willingness to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Follow GE and regulatory requirements; maintain quality workmanship.
• Demonstrated ability to lift 25–30 lbs and operate a fork truck.
• Experience with MES and MS Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Good written and oral communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Keep cell/stations supplied with material and information so operators can focus on value added work.
• Lead problem solving and process improvements.
• Update status and visual metrics.
• Perform necessary Material Handling functions (including, but not limited to, ordering material, kanban maintenance putting away material, bulk replenishment, cycle counting, take away material and packaging etc) Kit material for production orders and deliver in 'ready to build' condition.
• Responsible for reviewing and tracking shortages.
• Work closely with multiple functions to resolve issues.
• Operate machinery as needed (Forklift).
• This is a Weekend Shift: Friday 1pm-11pm, Saturday 11am-11pm, Sunday 11am-11pm.
