Job summary

Nexstar Media Group Inc. is seeking an on-site weekend Assistant Manager for our Indianapolis Broadcast Operations Center.

This role will supervise a multi-station hub and oversee primetime operations from Thursday through Monday, coordinating staff and ensuring FCC compliance in a large, 24/7 facility. The ideal candidate will have Master Control and high-profile live event experience, with strong understanding of broadcast signal flow, automation systems, and large team coordination across

Qualifications

Prior supervisory experience in a multi-station hub environment.
Extensive knowledge of multi-station television master control operations.
Familiarity with FCC regulations related to master control operations.
Ability to manage a large staff in a fast-paced 24/7 operation.
Experience with Florical automation systems and Telestream Vantage is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide direct supervision and training to Hub Operations staff in a multi-station broadcast hub.
Coordinate and approve time off requests and staff scheduling guidance.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching as needed.
Participate in interview and hiring processes for new hires.
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and FCC requirements.
Guide live event requirements, track execution and plan equipment needs.
Maintain effective communication with stations, hubs and other departments.
