Job summary

Nexstar Media Group Inc. in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a Master Control Operator to support 24/7 on-air operations from the Denver Operating Center.

The role involves preparing material for playback via the automation system and monitoring broadcast assets to ensure seamless transmission. The ideal candidate will have experience with broadcast automation or strong IT skills, familiarity with FCC rules, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Master Control; HUB experience desired.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience with Florical automation preferred.
• Must work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control the automation system for proper event execution.
• Prepare syndicated programming and run commercial breaks during newscasts.
• Ensure FCC rules, EAS, closed captioning, and safety compliance.
• Verify material airing via program logs and research missing materials.
• Monitor transmitters and tower lights under FCC regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
