Job summary

Priority StaffCorp is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Team Lead to oversee weekend production in a busy sheet metal operation. This hands-on leadership role requires someone who can lead by example, make quick production decisions on the floor, and ensure safety and quality on every shift.

The ideal candidate has previous supervisor experience, a solid understanding of fabrication processes, and the ability to coordinate with maintenance and scheduling to minimize downtime while meeting

Qualifications

• Experience as supervisor/lead in manufacturing or fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal production processes.
• Experience with laser cutting, press brakes, welding, and robotic welding.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Good communication and decisive problem-solving on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Direct weekend production activities and coordinate daily assignments.
• Lead and support employees throughout the production shift.
• Monitor workflow and adjust to keep production on schedule.
• Provide hands-on support during production challenges.
• Enforce safety procedures and quality expectations.
• Track team performance, attendance, productivity, and safety.
• Coach, train, and cross-train team members.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions.
• Coordinate with maintenance and scheduling to minimize downtime.
• Communicate updates and concerns to management.
• Help ensure customer orders are completed on time.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Enforce company safety procedures and quality expectations
• Track team performance, attendance, productivity, and safety
• Coach employees and assist with training and cross‑training
• Identify production bottlenecks and help implement solutions
• Encourage teamwork and continuous improvement
• Coordinate with maintenance and scheduling teams to minimize downtime
• Communicate production updates and concerns to management
• Help ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time

What We’re Looking For

• Previous supervisor, lead, or team leadership experience in manufacturing or fabrication
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal production processes
• Experience with laser cutting, press brakes, welding, and robotic welding
• Understanding of manufacturing quality and safety practices
• Strong communication and decision‑making abilities
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and keep employees focused
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on manufacturing environment
• Experience with Infor ERP, AS400, Controlled Warehouse Systems, or Paycor is a plus
• Ability to motivate, train, and hold team members accountable
