Job summary

Concierge Home Care seeks a Weekend Managed Care Coordinator to support our Intake Department from a remote Florida residence, typically Saturdays and Sundays 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. You will verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and coordinate with payors to ensure timely access to home health services.

You will work closely with Operations, Sales, referral sources, and insurance payors, maintaining accurate records in the EMR and ensuring HIPAA compliance while driving smooth patient care

Qualifications

• Some college education is required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience obtaining medical insurance authorizations.
• Experience with insurance eligibility and benefit verification.
• Experience communicating with insurance companies and managed care organizations.
• Experience navigating insurance portals and authorization systems.
• Experience working with an EMR or electronic healthcare documentation system.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and follow-through skills.
• Ability to manage multiple authorization requests and deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments.
• HIPAA compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Insurance Verification & Eligibility: complete daily verification for new and existing patients.
• Authorization & Reauthorization: obtain initial and reauthorizations; monitor status.
• Payor Communication: interface with insurance, payer portals, and documentation.
• Documentation & Compliance: maintain accurate records; protect patient data per policy.
• Internal Collaboration: coordinate with Intake, Operations, Sales; escalate gaps.
• Technology & Systems: work with EMR, verification platforms, payer portals.
