Job summary

Rich Products Corporation is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic for the 4th shift in Niles, IL. You will keep production running safely by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining plant equipment across mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

In this weekend role (Fri–Sun, 5:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.), you will troubleshoot PLC/SLC systems, calibrate sensors, document findings in SAP or CMMS, and support operations during changeovers while upholding GMP and safety standards.

Qualifications

3 to 5 years of hands-on maintenance in food processing or regulated manufacturing.
Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electrical and control systems.
Experience troubleshooting motors, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, pumps, and drives.
Working knowledge of PLC logic troubleshooting; experience using SAP or CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic failures on production equipment.
Troubleshoot PLC and SLC systems, motor starters, VFDs, SCRs, and control circuits.
Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations; document actions in SAP/CMMS.
Assist operations with changeovers and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
Train new associates on required maintenance skill sets and safety procedures.
