Job summary

The Wyndmoor Group is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our geriatric care team in Ohio. In this role you will administer medications, monitor vital signs, assist with daily living activities, and provide emotional support to residents and families.

You will collaborate with nursing staff to deliver compassionate care in a fast-paced facility, educate families about health maintenance, and promptly report changes in residents’ conditions to supervising nurses.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the state.
• No finding in the registry concerning abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property.
• Skilled at tackling multiple tasks and making quick decisions.
• Ability to foster good resident and family relationships.
• Experience in a long-term or assisted living facility is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician.
• Monitor vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse rate.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Educate patients and families about health care maintenance.
• Observe and report changes in patient's condition to the supervising nurse.
• Assist with geriatric care needs.
