Position Summary: The Laundry Attendant is responsible for cleaning and monitoring hotel linens and terry by washing, drying, and ironing, and providing guest laundry services to the Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, and Hotel departments, with a focus on safety.

Essential Job Functions

1. Identify stained or damaged items for repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.
2. Inspect cleanliness of laundered items and organize in linen carts.
3. Set dryers to appropriate times and temperatures based on fabric.
4. Remove lint and debris from dryer screens and filters after each load.
5. Fold cleaned articles into designated sizes manually or using a folding machine.
6. Maintain accurate records of laundered items.
7. Deliver folded linen to designated storage areas.
8. Follow all safety and security policies.
9. Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
10. Greet and acknowledge guests per company standards.
11. Work independently with minimal supervision.
12. Communicate clearly and professionally.
13. Answer telephones courteously.
14. Adhere to quality assurance standards.
15. Keep laundry surroundings clean.
16. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Experience

Prior laundry experience preferred.

Hours Required

Flexible schedule based on hotel needs; must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Physical Demands

Ability to move, lift, push, pull, and carry objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
