Messiah Lifeways is seeking a Laundry Assistant for Saturdays only, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, at Messiah Home in Mechanicsburg, PA. This weekend role involves sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens, and delivering clean items to designated areas to maintain resident comfort.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident laundry and community linens
• Deliver clean linens to designated neighborhoods and community areas
• Read garment labels and follow special laundering instructions to ensure clothing is properly cared for
• Check clothing items before washing and help protect residents' personal belongings
• Operate washers and dryers safely and efficiently
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and productive laundry environment
• Work alongside a caring team dedicated to serving older adults with excellence
• Follow infection control and safety procedures to ensure a healthy environment for residents and team members
