Job summary

Messiah Lifeways is seeking a part-time Laundry Assistant to help keep our residents' linens fresh and wardrobes ready. The shift runs 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with every other Saturday, and Sundays off, supporting a caring community for older adults.

You’ll sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, check garment labels, operate washers and dryers safely, and maintain a clean, organized work area while following infection control guidelines and helping the team deliver quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience with laundry or housekeeping is helpful but not required.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and operate laundry equipment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and resident comfort.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident laundry and linens.
• Deliver clean linens to designated neighborhoods and areas.
• Read garment labels and follow laundering instructions.
• Check clothing items before washing and protect residents' belongings.
• Operate washers and dryers safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized laundry area and support infection control.
