Job summary

Mercy - Rogers is seeking a Lab Support Technician (LST I) to join the provider care team. The role focuses on accurate, timely laboratory support, including specimen collection and processing, with emphasis on HIPAA compliance and excellent customer service.

The LST I contributes to reports, data handling, and scheduling duties as part of Mercy’s standards. Education: high school diploma required; BLS within 6 months of hire; preferred chemistry/biology coursework and prior clinical lab

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification: BLS within 6 months of hire.
• Preferred Education: College level Chemistry, Biology or other Science courses.
• Preferred Experience: Previous experience in a clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Provide laboratory support and accurate handling of specimens.
• Process, transport and refer laboratory specimens and reports as required.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and comply with lab policies.
• Assist with data, reports and scheduling functions within the laboratory.
• Deliver excellent customer service in line with Mercy Signature Service.
