Job summary

Mercy Rogers is seeking a Lab Support Technician (LST I) to assist the provider care team with reports, data and scheduling for the laboratory. The role emphasizes accurate specimen collection and processing while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality and Mercy Service Standards.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, BLS within 6 months, and prior clinical lab exposure. This is a full-time position with a weekend option, offering comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire is preferred.
• College level Chemistry, Biology or other Science courses are preferred.
• Previous experience in a clinical laboratory is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide laboratory support including specimen collection, processing, transport and referral of specimens and reports.
• Exhibit excellent customer service in line with Mercy Signature Service with all interactions.
• Complete departmental checklists under supervision to achieve LST I competencies.
