Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Laboratory Support Technician (LST II) to join the provider care team, supporting reports, data and scheduling within the laboratory. The role emphasizes accurate specimen collection, compliant practices, and safe patient handling in a busy Mercy facility.

The LST II will demonstrate excellent customer service, observe HIPAA requirements, and complete facility competencies to advance. This is a full-time, on-site position within Mercy’s hospital network in Missouri.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience.
• Must satisfactorily complete facility competencies for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Acquire specimens accurately and timely for laboratory testing.
• Provide support for reports, data and scheduling functions within the laboratory.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and adhere to lab policies.
• Deliver excellent customer service in line with Mercy Service Standards.
