Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Lab Assistant for weekend options to support specimen processing and basic testing in a CLIA-compliant setting. The role involves venipuncture, specimen preparation, and assisting clinical staff with non-clinical tasks.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED; phlebotomy knowledge and EKG experience are highly regarded. Previous healthcare or clinical lab exposure is preferred for success in this role.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Phlebotomy certification or knowledge is preferred.
• Basic venipuncture/phlebotomy knowledge is preferred.
• Experience with clinical laboratory processes is preferred.
• Experience performing EKGs is preferred.
• Healthcare or clinical laboratory experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and Georgia Department of Community Health standards.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens according to Piedmont policies.
• Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
