Job summary

Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, GA is seeking a Lab Assistant to support sample processing and basic testing in a clinical laboratory setting. The role emphasizes following CMS CLIA '88 and Piedmont policies, with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Education: H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• Work Experience: No experience required; 1 year phlebotomy preferred; EKG experience preferred; healthcare/clinical lab setting preferred.
• Licenses/Certifications: None required; Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests following CMS CLIA '88, OSHA and Piedmont policies.
• Performs venipunctures and prepares blood specimens as required by Piedmont procedures.
• Assists technical staff with non-clinical tasks.
