Volunteers of America Colorado Branch is seeking a part-time Kitchen Coordinator for the Lakewood Navigation Center. The role involves preparing, heating, and serving meals from the ANS kitchen, ensuring safe temperatures and appealing presentation for a high volume of participants.

The position emphasizes trauma-informed service, accurate portioning, and adherence to Colorado Food Program guidelines, with duties including ordering and food prep for events and staff training as needed.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in cooking or similar production facilities.
• Ability to read and write to follow a menu.
• Ability to perform basic kitchen mathematical calculations.
• ServSafe certification or ability to acquire within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and heat precooked meals from the ANS kitchen to proper serving temperatures.
• Plate and serve lunch and dinner meals for a high volume of participants with appealing presentation.
