Job summary

Colorado Outward Bound School seeks a Part-time Seasonal Kitchen Coordinator in Leadville, CO. You will manage a rotating 2-week menu, guide staff during meal prep shifts, and keep dining halls clean and safe while maintaining nutrition and dietary accommodations.

The role supports staff and students, with onsite housing options, meals on workdays, and a schedule aligned with program calendars from mid-April to mid-October.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or hospitality settings.
• Ability to foster a welcoming environment for staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Oversee meal preparation and service with rotating menus for 50+ staff and occasional groups.
• Support accommodation of dietary restrictions and allergens using current systems.
• Manage inventory and restocking of kitchen supplies with logistics team.
• Supervise volunteer kitchen crews and prepare crews for busy days.
• Assist with planning meals for special events and receiving deliveries.
• Ensure food inventories stay within budget and maintain safety standards.
• Report maintenance issues to Facilities and support deep cleaning as needed.
• Other duties as required.
