Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, California, is seeking an Inventory Specialist II to own the operational excellence of our inventory system and develop into a subject‑matter expert on ERP/MES.

You will execute inventory transactions, manage cycle counts, verify incoming material, and ensure traceability, while coordinating with production and engineering teams in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an inventory, logistics, receiving, or material handling role.
• 1+ years of forklift experience, with ability to obtain and maintain OSHA certification.
• Experience executing transactions in ERP and warehouse management software with a complete, accurate audit trail.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email communication.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including non-standard shifts, overtime, and weekends as production demands.

Responsibilities

• Execute all inventory transactions (receiving, putaway, picking, issuance, returns) in real time through ERP/MES systems, with >99.9% record accuracy and full traceability.
• Own the daily cycle count program: schedule counts, investigate discrepancies, document root causes, elevate variances.
• Verify incoming material as final quality gate before entering production inventory: confirm part numbers, revisions, quantities, condition, shelf life; quarantine discrepant material.
• Pick and kit parts, materials, and hardware to support on-time, in-full delivery to production; apply FIFO and verify serialized flight hardware.
• Handle all parts to aerospace FOD, ESD, and contamination-control standards; maintain 5S in zones; store ITAR materials securely per regs.
• Communicate ETAs and supply issues proactively with cross-functional stakeholders; perform shift handoffs; propose process improvements for inventory control.
• Weekend-shift role with Friday–Monday 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. PT and 8 hours guaranteed overtime; 10% shift differential.
