Job summary

Pembroke Hospital is seeking per diem or part-time Activity Therapists to join the inpatient behavioral health program. Shifts include Saturdays and Sundays from 9am–5pm, with duties spanning expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities within the inpatient units.

The Activity Therapist collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, conducts assessments, facilitates groups, and ensures thorough documentation while supporting patient care and recovery goals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent certification in expressive therapies.
• For candidate with a bachelor’s degree, certification in CTRS/MT-BC/ATR-BC or equivalent is required.
• Experience in inpatient behavioral health therapy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop treatment goals.
• Facilitate groups on inpatient psychiatric units.
• Complete group documentation and communicate with the treatment team via planning and meetings.
• Provide education to Mental Health Associates on group facilitation.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
