Job summary

Kindly Direct Care is seeking a weekend Direct Support Professional for a one-to-one in-home and community support position in Buena, NJ. You will provide compassionate, person-centered support, communicate with families, and document care accurately while maintaining boundaries and professionalism.

The role focuses on helping the individual maintain dignity, privacy, choice, and as much independence as possible, with hands-on personal care and safety supervision.

Qualifications

• Comfortable providing hands-on personal care.
• Reliable, respectful, patient, and attentive to safety.
• Able to follow detailed instructions and maintain professional boundaries.
• Prior DSP, HHA, CNA, PCA, home care, behavioral health, or disability-services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including eating and grooming.
• Support daily routines and encourage independence.
• Provide one‑to‑one supervision, companionship, and safety support.
• Assist with community participation, errands, appointments, and activities as applicable.
• Follow care, behavioral, medical, and safety instructions within DSP scope and training.
• Observe for and promptly report changes or concerns.
• Complete required service documentation, timekeeping, and communication accurately and on time.
