Job summary

Kindly Direct Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support for an adult with developmental disabilities in Union, NJ. The role emphasizes warmth, reliability, and building meaningful daily experiences in home and community settings.

Schedule is Tuesday and Thursday, 4 pm–6 pm with potential for more hours; driving on shift is required. Pay ranges from $17 to $21 per hour, with documentation and safety as priorities in a person-centered care approach.

Qualifications

• Warm, patient, dependable, and genuinely interested in building a consistent relationship.
• Able to reliably work the posted schedule.
• Comfortable supporting an adult one-to-one in home and community settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support.
• Help the individual participate in Community Based and In Home Supports.
• Support errands, appointments, recreation, volunteering, social opportunities, or other community activities as applicable.
• Encourage independence, communication, decision-making, self-advocacy, and life skills.
• Provide reminders, routine support, or light assistance as required by the case.
• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions.
• Complete required documentation and communicate reliably with the Kindly team.
