Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional for weekend shifts in Rexburg, Idaho. The role provides in-home support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, dignity, and community inclusion.

You will assist with daily living skills, meal prep, budgeting, and community activities, while maintaining person-centered care. The DSP will ensure safe living environments, support self-advocacy, and use crisis intervention when needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma, GED, or demonstrated ability to provide services.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with participants, families, staff, and community members.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants in activities of daily living and independent living skills.
• Support participation in daytime, recreational, vocational, and community activities.
• Encourage good personal hygiene and healthy habits in home and community settings.
• Be Medication Certified and able to pass medications.
• Assist with budgeting, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
• Maintain clean and organized participant homes.
• Provide opportunities for choices and participation in daily living decisions.
• Support transportation to appointments and community outings.
• Follow safety standards and report incidents as required.
• Attend required training and maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
