Job summary

Happy to Help Caregiving is seeking compassionate, dependable weekend caregivers to join our Idaho Falls team providing non-medical in-home care in Idaho Falls and surrounding communities. As a weekend caregiver, you will offer one-on-one support to help seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

No medical tasks are required, and full training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal care instructions.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility support.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Prepare meals and snacks based on client preferences and dietary needs.
• Perform light housekeeping including laundry, dishes, and changing linens.
• Provide medication reminders according to the care plan (no handling or administering medications).
• Assist with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and walking.
• Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and approved outings.
• Offer respite care to support family caregivers.
• Follow individualized care plans and document services provided.
• Report changes in client needs or concerns to the office promptly.
• Promote client independence, dignity, and quality of life through compassionate care.
