Job summary

Happy to Help Caregiving in Blackfoot, ID, is hiring Weekend Caregivers to provide non-medical in-home support for seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. You’ll work one-on-one with clients, helping them stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes, with weekend shifts available.

No caregiving experience is required—training is provided. We value reliability, compassion, and a willingness to learn, with part-time and full-time weekend opportunities and flexible hours

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Kind, patient, and professional attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow written care plans and verbal instructions.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Preparing meals, snacks, and encouraging proper hydration.
• Performing light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, changing linens, and tidying living spaces.
• Providing medication reminders (no handling or administering medications).
• Assisting with mobility, transfers, repositioning, walkers, and wheelchairs.
• Providing transportation for appointments, errands, grocery shopping, and approved outings.
• Offering respite care so family caregivers can take a well-deserved break.
• Documenting services provided and reporting any changes or concerns to the office.
• Supporting each client's independence, routines, dignity, and personal preferences.
