Job summary

Happy to Help Caregiving - East Idaho is seeking compassionate weekend caregivers to provide non-medical in-home support in Pocatello, Chubbuck, Inkom and surrounding communities. You will offer companionship, help with daily activities, meal prep, light housekeeping, and transportation as needed, while following personalized care plans.

Training is provided, no prior caregiving experience required. Join a team that values kindness, reliability, and the dignity of clients, with flexible weekend

Qualifications

• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal care instructions.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility support.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Prepare meals and snacks per client preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Provide reminders for medications per care plan (no handling of medications).
• Assist with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and walking.
• Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and approved outings.
• Offer respite care to family caregivers.
• Follow individualized care plans and document services.
• Report changes in client needs to the office promptly.
• Promote independence, dignity, and quality of life.
