Qualifications

• Cleaning experience in a hospital or industrial setting.

• Interpersonal skills to be pleasant and courteous with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail for a majority of the workday.

Responsibilities

• Follows work schedule and completes daily/weekly tasks to department standards.
• Removes trash and handles needle boxes following safety procedures.
• Carpet care, spot removal, and bonnet cleaning as scheduled.
• Maintains and cleans floors, informs manager of needed projects.
• Inspects area, dusts surfaces, and keeps vents dust-free.
• Polishes surfaces and assists with patient room cleaning as needed.
• Assists with moving equipment and furniture as required.
• Inspects curtains and changes as needed; reports cleaning needs.
• Maintains equipment and notifies supervisor of issues.
• Plans supply and equipment needs at shift start.
• Attends in-services and department meetings.
