Job summary

Brighton/Suncrest Hospice is seeking a Weekend Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate hospice care across a service area, visiting patients in homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals.

The RN will handle admissions, patient visits, and on-call duties with strong clinical and communication skills, while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team. Travel across the service area is required and experience with electronic medical records is expected.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in good standing.
• At least one year of experience under license.
• Admissions and on-call experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a team with nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and CNA leadership.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across the service area.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for hospice patients at various locations (homes, facilities, hospitals).
• Complete hospice admissions and patient visits as needed.
• Respond to calls from patients, families, and customers.
• Conduct nursing visits for symptom management, admissions, and ends-of-life care as needed.
• Document visits and coordinate with the care team.
