Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide to provide personal care and homemaker services in patients’ homes in the Central/Downtown Boston area. The role focuses on maintaining safety and comfort while supporting the IDT plan of care.

The Hospice Aide will assist with bathing, grooming, transfers, mobility, meal preparation, and vital-sign checks, reporting changes to the hospice nurse case manager. Weekend Baylor schedule available with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• MA CNA or HHA certification required.
• Experience in home health care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene and grooming (shower, baths, mouth care, skin and nails).
• Assist with toilet needs and bedpan use.
• Monitor and document patient status; report changes to nurse case manager.
• Help with transfers and mobility using gait belts or lifting equipment.
• Support meal prep and feeding; assist with medications as cued.
• Maintain clean, safe home environment; observe infection control.
