Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health at Home in Burlington, MA is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide compassionate personal care and homemaker services to patients at home, following the plan of care and ensuring a safe, healthy environment. You’ll assist with hygiene, transfers, meals, vital signs, medication cues, and documentation, while observing changes and reporting to the hospice nurse case manager.

• Valid MA CNA certification or HHA certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and homemaker services.
• Assist with hygiene, mobility and transfers using safe techniques.
• Assist with meals and feeding as needed.
• Take and record vital signs as directed.
• Observe patient status and report changes to the hospice nurse.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment and follow infection control procedures.
