Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide compassionate personal care and homemaker services in patients' homes within the Northshore/Central Territory. You will assist with bathing, grooming, hygiene, and mobility, and you will observe and document patient status under the IDT plan of care.

Responsibilities include assisting with toilet needs, meal prep, and cuing of self-administered medications, while maintaining infection control and reporting changes to the hospice nurse

Qualifications

Must hold MA CNA certification or HHA certificate.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and homemaker services.
Assist with bathing, grooming, and hygiene.
Assist with toileting, including bed pans.
Observe and document patient status and changes.
Take and record vital signs as directed.
Assist with feeding and meal preparation as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe home environment and infection control.
Use safe transfer techniques with gait belts or equipment.
Report changes to hospice nurse case manager.
