Job summary

Amedisys, Inc. is seeking an experienced RN to support patients in the Chicago area on weekend shifts (Sat, Sun, and Mon). This role emphasizes one-on-one patient care, comprehensive orientation for the first 90 days, and a holistic approach to nursing.

Qualifications

• One+ year of clinical RN experience; approval by VP Clinical if less than 1 year.
• Current RN license for the state(s) you work in.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and collaborate with the care team to develop a care plan.
• Make referrals to other disciplines as needed and document rationale.
• Promote health and independence through teaching and rehabilitative measures.
• Supervise LPNs and HHAs.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
• Regularly communicate patient progress to the clinical manager and team.
• Plan and provide staff education.
• Perform on-call responsibilities for patients and families.
• Participate in clinical development and continuing education.
