Job summary

Cherished Companions Home Care, LLC is seeking Weekend Caregivers to provide one-on-one, in-home care for clients on weekends. You will assist with daily activities and provide companionship in clients' homes across the region.

We offer starting pay at $16.00 per hour with a $1-$2 differential for short shifts, and opportunities to advance. We value employees and provide an employee-focused environment with benefits after meeting criteria.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• A valid driver's license & vehicle (to embark on epic grocery store runs and pharmacy adventures).
• Willing to drive up to 30 minutes to get to clients' homes.
• Ability to work on weekends
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and respond with empathy and understanding.
• A deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by patients and families at the end of life.
• A knack for turning everyday moments into unforgettable memories.
• The ability to find humor in even the most challenging situations, because laughter truly is the best medicine.
• We hire State Tested Nursing Aides (STNAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), Medical Assistants (MAs), Personal Care Assistants (PCAs), nursing students, retired nurses, retirees (from any field),empty-nesters, OR anyone else with a heart & desire to care for others, who are willing to learn andbecome a professional caregiver.

• Spreading smiles wider than a Cheshire cat as you assist clients with their daily activities.
• Being the ultimate BFF to our clients, offering companionship, a listening ear, and endless cups of tea.
• Providing compassionate and personalized care to our patients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and peace of mind.
• Assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, with the utmost sensitivity and respect.
• Offering emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, creating a nurturing and reassuring presence.
• Channeling your inner Martha Stewart to whip up culinary masterpieces (or at least edible creations) in the kitchen.
• Channeling your inner superhero to tackle household chores and errands with finesse (cape optional).
• Keeping spirits high with your top-notch joke-telling skills and infectious laughter.
• Providing personalized care that would make even Mary Poppins proud.
