Job summary

Cherished Companions is seeking Weekend Caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home care for clients in the region on weekends. You will work with clients in their homes across multiple counties, delivering compassionate care and companionship.

Starting at $16.00 per hour with differential for short shifts; full or part-time hours available and paid training. Join a locally owned agency that treats caregivers as employees with benefits and legitimate payroll.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and a vehicle.
• Willing to drive up to 30 minutes to reach clients.
• Ability to work on weekends.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Excellent communication with empathy and understanding.

Responsibilities

• Cheer up clients and provide companionship.
• Assist with activities of daily living with dignity and respect.
• Provide compassionate, personalized care and ensure comfort and safety.
• Support families and patients with emotional reassurance.
• Help with light housekeeping and meal prep as needed.
• Engage clients with conversation and activities to uplift mood.
