Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and members.
• Ability to communicate verbally, non-verbally and in writing.
• Functional computer skills required.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests promptly with appropriate greetings.
• Provide security and control to the gym.
• Check members into the gym using proper procedures.
• Direct guests and appointments to fitness trainers as needed.
• Answer phones professionally and take messages with caller;s name.
• Follow up on telephone inquiries to confirm bookings.
• Respond to member requests, inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain neat appearance and wear uniform with nametag.
• Log maintenance concerns for manager follow-up.
• Follow opening and closing procedures as instructed.
• Report safety concerns and gym incidents to management.
• Adhere to attendance policies and schedule obligations.
• Perform light cleaning and other duties as directed.
