Job summary

Sheakley is seeking a Field Safety Manager for a weekend day shift on a data center construction project in Point Pleasant, WV. This 12-month, 1099 contractor role requires OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR/AED, and experience in civil construction safety; you will oversee weekend operations and ensure compliance.

You will monitor trenching, grading, concrete work, utilities, audits, incident response, and coordinate with project leadership.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certification is required.
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification.
• Construction Field Safety Management Experience is required.
• Experience Supporting Civil Construction Activities is required.
• Understanding of Excavation and Trenching Safety Requirements.
• Ability to Conduct Safety Inspections and Audits.
• Strong Communication and Leadership Skills are required.
• Candidates Must Carry Their Own Workers' Compensation Coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekend field safety oversight for active construction operations.
• Monitor excavation, grading, and trenching activities.
• Support concrete construction and underground utility installation work.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and field observations.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions with project leadership.
• Participate in incident response and investigation activities.
• Promote contractor accountability and compliance.
• Review work activities and support risk mitigation efforts.
• Maintain project safety records and documentation.
• Serve as the primary safety representative during weekend operations.
