Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Field Safety Manager for a night-shift data center project in Point Pleasant, WV. This 12-month contract role requires hands-on safety leadership across civil and utility construction activities with a focus on trenching, excavation, and underground installations.

The ideal candidate will hold OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR/AED, and have field safety management experience on heavy civil or data center sites, with the ability to work night shifts and coordinate

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED Certification required.
• Experience in field safety management on construction sites.
• Ability to support excavation and trenching operations.
• Experience around underground utility installation activities.
• Strong understanding of OSHA Construction Standards.
• Ability to conduct site inspections, audits and hazard assessments.
• Candidates must carry their own workers' compensation coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide field safety leadership across multiple active construction scopes.
• Monitor excavation, trenching and grading activities for OSHA compliance.
• Support concrete placement and underground utility installation operations.
• Conduct daily site inspections, observations, and safety audits.
• Identify hazards and work with project leadership to implement corrective actions.
• Participate in incident investigations and follow-up actions.
• Promote safe work practices through active field engagement.
• Review work activities and assist with risk mitigation planning.
• Maintain project safety documentation and reporting requirements.
• Act as the primary safety presence during night shift operations.
