Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• 2 years general experience in building trades, repair and maintenance or handy work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routinely walks floors and reports issues to supervisors.
• Ensures safety precautions are followed during all tasks.
• Maintains positive working relationships with building staff.
• Paints common areas and performs touch-ups as needed; reports areas needing paint.
• Completes daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintains assigned equipment in good working condition.
• Performs casual labor, including lifting heavy items as directed.
• Performs minor maintenance in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting and flooring.
• Follows safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Performs repairs where permitted, avoiding jobs requiring permits.
• Properly uses new equipment and follows safety protocols.
