Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Maintenance Staff Member in Boca Raton, FL. You will ensure that all mechanical systems and equipment operate properly and that common areas stay clean, disinfected, and visually appealing.

You will follow safety procedures and complete daily work orders while communicating with supervisors and building staff. The role requires hands-on maintenance across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, and flooring tasks, with lifting up to 50 lbs and valid

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years general experience in building trades, repair and replacement maintenance or handy work.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Multilingualism desirable.

Responsibilities

• Routinely walk floors and check for problems, report to supervisors.
• Follow safety precautions while performing work.
• Maintain good working relationships with building staff.
• Paint common areas and perform touch ups as needed; inspect areas and advise manager.
• Complete daily work orders as scheduled.
• Maintain assigned equipment in good condition.
• Perform casual labor including lifting heavy items following safety procedures.
• Perform minor maintenance in carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, flooring, and other building repairs.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform maintenance and repairs within allowed permits; follow safety procedures with new equipment.
