Job summary

McDonald's is seeking a Maintenance Person to uphold the restaurant’s cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role covers care of the building, grounds, and equipment to meet McDonald’s Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, preventative maintenance of kitchen equipment, and supporting daily operations. The position requires the ability to work in diverse conditions and to help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical and maintenance skills preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot minor repairs and complete routine preventative maintenance.
• Must be able to lift, bend, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain interior and exterior restaurant areas including dining room, restrooms, kitchen, storage, parking lot, sidewalks and landscaping.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment such as grills, fryers, HVAC, refrigeration and beverage machines.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures, including cleaning chemicals, lockout, ladder safety, and PPE; ensure food safety compliance.
• Keep walkways and work areas free of hazards; monitor exterior lighting and signage for proper operation.
• Assist management with special projects, deliveries and other operational needs, ensuring equipment is clean and ready for peak periods.
