Job summary

The Nature Place in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is seeking Event Staff to support weekend and evening events. You will be the first line of contact for guests, assist with setup and takedown, and help maintain a clean, safe space during events.

Candidates should have strong communication skills, a willingness to work hard, and the ability to enforce venue policies. A valid driver’s license and background check are required, with job responsibilities including AV setup and light maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Experience with event management and public relations a must
• First Aid/CPR certification is required or can be obtained after hire within 3 months

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service as first line contact for events
• Assist with set up and takedown for all events, including tables, chairs, and AV needs
• Regularly check in with event point person during event to ensure needs are being met
• Ensure facility is clean before, during, and after event
• Assist with any facility-related needs throughout shift
• Enforce The Nature Place policies during events, including alcohol and tobacco policies
• To remain drug free and refrain from use of alcohol or tobacco while on duty
• Communicate to the The Nature Place Manager any problems, success, potential issues, updates
• Perform other duties during shift including light maintenance/cleaning and projects
