Job summary

Grand Rapids Building Services Inc is seeking a Custodian Event Coordinator in DeWitt Public Schools. The role includes weekend event setup, operation, and breakdown, with responsibilities to schedule coverage and ensure smooth execution.

You will lead a small team, train staff, and maintain a positive, reliable presence. Must have a valid driver’s license and be ready to travel within the district as needed for events and building coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with valid ID.
• No experience required, on-the-job training provided.
• Reliable transportation to and from work daily.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks: mopping, dusting, restrooms, trash removal.
• Assist with other cleaning duties as assigned.
• Set up, run and clean up events within the school district on weekends.
• Schedule weekend event coverage and coordinate with team.
• Lead, train and motivate team members as needed.
• Willing to travel within the school district to multiple buildings.
