Job summary

dWELL Recovery is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Resident Advisor to support residents in a recovery housing program in New York City. The role focuses on individualized skills, daily routines, and fostering a supportive, safety-first environment.

The Resident Advisor works Saturday-Sunday from 6p-11p, joins a team dedicated to helping young adults transition to independence, and supports program operations, navigation of goals, and community engagement within a structured setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in recovery, mental health, or behavioral health settings preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Foster a safe, supportive environment and build rapport with residents.
• Provide individualized skill-building to promote independence and daily living skills.
• Model professionalism and support community-building activities and recovery culture.
• Assist with resident schedules, wake-ups, check-ins, escorts, and appointments.
• Document shift reports and program activities; communicate updates to leadership.
