Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. in Somerville, MA is seeking an In-Store Shopper to prepare customer orders for delivery or pickup.

You will work with the Customer Service & E-Commerce teams, shopping the store for produce, meats, dairy, and more, with a flexible schedule including Saturdays, Sundays, evenings, and holidays. You will handle online orders with accuracy, learn product knowledge, and maintain a clean staging area while providing excellent customer service and collaboration with team

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required
• Sufficient English language proficiency to prepare and shop customer orders
• Must be 18+ years old
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Fulfills online orders efficiently, accurately and with a sense of urgency using handheld technology and/or fixed devices
• Ensure product and order accuracy through meticulous verification and quality control processes
• Learn and apply product knowledge, customer service standards, and store operations to deliver exceptional customer experiences
• Keep staging area organized and free of clutter
• Handle in-store and online order returns and pickups
• Comply with government regulations such as age verification requirements for restricted items
• Assist with customer inquiries and provide store information
• Maintain knowledge of product and promotional events
• Maintain a positive work environment
• Communicate clearly, collaboratively and courteously
• Attend all meetings assigned by Leadership, including daily huddles
• Support company program and initiatives, inclusive of varied checkout options, store formats and all product assortment, tools, and technology
• Maintains operational standards including but not limited to safety and store security protocols
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Performs other duties as assigned by store or company leadership
