New England Veterinary Center & Cancer Center in Windsor, CT, is seeking a Part-time ER Vet Assistant (Weekends) to support veterinarians and technicians with daily tasks, patient care, and administrative duties. Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• Basic nursing care, animal husbandry, handling/restraint, and assisting Veterinary Technicians and other staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners, take weight and vital signs.
• Triage patients and assist licensed staff with treatments.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients.
• Assist doctors and technicians with medications and restraints.
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs.
• Operate and maintain hospital equipment and supplies.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
